IDP works with TV Furniture company Performance Furniture

IDP has been engaged with Performance Furniture for the last two years doing web site updates, SEO, design enhancements and re-organizing content.  We recently finished another round of edits for the company.  We have been very pleased to retain clients like Performance Furniture.  We focus on long term customer relationships and customer service.  It is the greatest compliment of all when a client sticks with you over the years.

WordPress Blog Sites are Popular… AND Good for SEO

WordPress Blog sites have been extremely popular this year.  WordPress is free blogging software that can be used as an inexpensive content management system for your web site.  IDP will build a custom WordPress skin so that the blog looks exactly like your web site.  Users will not notice any difference as they click back and forth between your blog and your web site.  We will also integrate the blog onto your home page, so that your most recent articles appear on the home page.

Blog sites are good for search engine optimization.  We advise our customers to blog at least once a week, if possible.  Even once a month will work.  One of the ways to improve your search engine ranking is to establish yourself as an expert in your area of business.  Blog entries for a business should cover news, product information, advise, free tips, announcements, services, specials, technical information, research, developments and any other important information consumers may find useful.

Page Title: 8-10 keyword rich words in Title (blue bar at top of web browser)  What should your page title be on your home page?

URL: Find a short URL with relevant words in URL. Don’t make up words. Use sub-directories with descriptive file names.  What would be the perfect URL for your business?

Text Navigation: Use text links for navigation. Don’t use images and buttons for all of your navigation.

Heading: Use a text heading on every page that includes keywords in the heading. The HTML tag for heading should be H1.  What H1 Heading should appear on your home page?

Body Copy: Plain text copy of 250-600 words. 5-6 appearances of keywords in this copy. Text links within this copy.

Add Resources: The Internet was created to share information.  Add information or content to your web site.  Add Free Resources to your web site to establish your credibility.  Add articles and information that would be useful for people related to your business.  Build a resource center.  Free advice, consultation or other information.  What Resource could you add to your web site?

Call to Action:  Add a call to action to your home page to ask for business and generate a lead.  Use a submit form, email and phone number for easy contact.
