IDP recently completed another SEO friendly WordPress web design project. This project was for USA800 call center, who is headquartered in the Kansas City Metro Area. USA800 has been a long time client of ours and this is the second web design project we have completed for them.
The number one priority for this new web design was to build an SEO friendly WordPress site. The project also included a re-design of the site and a migration from DotNetNuke platform to a WordPress content management system platform. The web design project included graphic design work, website mockups and layouts, custom programming, responsive web development, WordPress development, organic search engine optimization, blog setup and migration, Pardot form integration and web hosting. There are several unique features on the site that are pretty cool. On the home page there is an interactive circle type graphic with links and information to the main call center industries served. Also on the home page is a unique blog news feed with a hover effect and link to blog post. The leadership page has an attractive layout with color overlays and popup window bios. The Pardot forms that were added to the site were styled with custom CSS to keep our form styles instead of the normal ugly forms that appear when you add an external form to a website. The project was quite a bit of work and took four months to complete.
SEO Friendly WordPress Web Design
Back to the SEO Friendly stuff. The top priority was an SEO friendly web design. Two of the most important factors for search engine optimization are website speed and mobile responsiveness. We spent a lot of extra time programming a custom Bootstrap WordPress theme that loads quickly and is mobile responsive. There is a lot of rich content with keywords. There are unique Title, H1 and meta descriptions on all pages. Different keywords were targeted for different pages. We installed and setup the Yoast SEO friendly WordPress plugin, installed Yoast breadcrumbs, sitemap.xml file, Google and search search console, submitted sitemap and configured other settings. We completed speed optimization work with the W3 Total Cache WordPress plugin. W3 Total Cache has a lot of custom configuration settings that can really speed up your WordPress site if implemented correctly. During load testing we were getting 3-5 second load times. Our custom lightweight WP theme makes it easier to build fast and SEO friendly WordPress sites. Unfortunately, a lot of people use pre-made WordPress themes that are bulky and over complicated code that is slow to load and not SEO friendly. Less is more!
